I'm having a bit of an early night tonight after last night, there was a group partying hard until late so no much sleep on my part. After a late start I fell short of the planned km today and didn't quite make Batemans Bay, instead I've just found a generous dairy farmer who has let me camp behind one of his sheds. It's the best spot I've ever set a tent up at.
People are getting friendly again on the roads now that I'm getting further away from the suburbs with loads of waves and friendly toots.
Still struggling with the hills.....my legs just don't like them. They seem much harder than on the Great Vic.
So far every day I've been approached by someone no has done some long distance bike touring. A bike with panniers also seems to put people at ease and encourage them to have a chat.
I've only been on the road 3 days and 258km but it feels like months. The sense of time just disappears with the focus shifting to the next milestone, be that a town or hill. Either way this is a truly awesome way to travel.
P.s. A few people reading these ramblings have had some problems posting comments. Sorry for that. I'm not sure why but if you email your comment to me ([email protected]) I can post it on your behalf. Thanks
